Weddings & Portraits

I have been friends with Alisha for a lonnnggggg time. I’ve also been photographing her and her family for a long time. From her and Aaron’s engagement photos four years ago to two kids later. It’s been incredible watching their beautiful family grow as well as seeing how much I have grown as a photographer. We had beautiful light this particular evening and may have even enjoyed an ice cream cone with the kids afterwards. 🙂

When Madi told me that her and Eric were both into riding dirt bikes, I knew we had to incorporate that into their engagement session. After a very brief shoot in a gorgeous and very mosquito infested field we drove up to a track one of their friends graciously let us use for photos. It was pretty awesome watching them ride around the together. Sharing common interests with your significant other is a pretty special thing and we could definitely feel the love just by the way they were together. Congrats Madi and Eric, we wish you all the happiness in the world!

Michele and Jake were married on a beautiful summer day in northern Michigan. You may remember seeing their engagement session not too long ago at one of their favorite wineries–Chateau Chantal. We started their wedding day at the Church in the Hills where they said their vows and became husband and wife. We ended the day at the Kearney Township Hall for their reception where they carried the wine theme right on through the evening. Michele and Jake are one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure photographing this year and we really enjoyed spending the day with them! Congratulations you two!!

After many months of emailing back and forth we finally met up with Michele and Jake for their engagement session. When asking Michele if she had any locations in mind she mentioned one of their favorite wineries in TC– the beautiful Chateau Chantal! Naturally we had to start the session off with a little bit of wine tasting…

Talk about irony…about a week or so after a session with some U of M fans we found ourselves photographing some MSU fans! After that, the world was set in balance once again. In all seriousness though, we had a fantastic time photographing the “O” family! Capturing families love and enjoying each other’s company in photographs is what makes our job so awesome and meaningful. We definitely did that here, take a look!
